Stillness is a large-scale hand-knotted fibre artwork exploring rhythm, repetition, and quiet presence. Crafted from natural cotton rope, the piece is formed through thousands of individual knots, built slowly and intuitively without a fixed pattern.

Elongated, organic strands fall vertically, creating a soft sculptural relief that shifts with light and shadow throughout the day. Subtle variations in tension and form speak to the human experience—moments of control, release, growth, and pause.

Part of an ongoing exploration into fibre as both material and language, Stillness invites a slower way of seeing. It brings texture, warmth, and depth into interior spaces, making it ideal as a statement wall piece for collectors, designers, and contemporary architectural settings.

Each work is created by hand in the artist’s studio, ensuring no two pieces are ever the same.

Refund & Returns

No refunds for cancellations; however, registrants can transfer their registration to another person or receive a credit for a future workshop if notified 48 hours before the event.

At Knotted by Hand workshops, we aim to provide an exceptional learning experience while accommodating our attendees' needs. Our standard policy entails no refunds for cancellations; however, we understand that life can be unpredictable. Therefore, we offer flexibility within certain parameters.

Attendees who find themselves unable to attend a workshop can transfer their registration to another person. This allows you to gift your spot to a friend or family member who can benefit from the workshop in your absence. We kindly ask that you notify us at least 48 hours before the workshop to facilitate this transfer.

Additionally, in situations where unforeseen circumstances arise, registrants can request credit toward a future workshop instead of a refund. This credit ensures that the value of the workshop fee can be applied to a future session, subject to availability and scheduling.

Our aim is to balance our commitment to providing quality workshops with understanding the occasional need for flexibility. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines, allowing us to best serve all our attendees.
