At Knotted by Hand, I collaborate with interior designers, stylists, and architects to create custom fibre art and bespoke textile installations for residential and commercial interiors. MATERIALS & PROCESS

Each piece is created using natural, high-quality fibres selected for their texture, tone, and ability to complement the surrounding space. I work with materials such as organic cotton, linen, wool, and found natural elements, always with a focus on sustainability, longevity, and visual balance.

From the early concept stage, I consider the palette, materials, scale, and atmosphere of the interior so the finished artwork feels integrated, intentional, and deeply connected to the space.

THE PROCESS - Every custom fibre art commission is approached collaboratively, with attention to the space, the design brief, and the practical needs of the project.

    CONSULTATION

    We begin with a consultation to discuss the space, design direction, dimensions, palette, and overall vision for the project. This stage helps shape a clear brief and ensures the artwork responds to the needs of the interior.

    PROPOSAL

    Following the consultation, I prepare a tailored proposal that may include concept direction, material suggestions, sizing, timeline, and pricing. This gives you a clear view of how the piece will work within the space before creation begins.

    Creation

    Once approved, the artwork is created by hand using carefully selected fibres and materials. Throughout the making process, I focus on texture, form, scale, and finish so the final piece feels considered, refined, and aligned with the original vision.

    Installation

    When the piece is complete, it is prepared for delivery and installation. Depending on the project location and scale, installation can be arranged to ensure the artwork is presented beautifully and sits confidently within the space.
